Devon Intermediate Sports Exchange

On Monday 2nd of September Devon intermediate our sister/bother school from New Plymouth came on two buses to our school. They had a team of 77 there smallest team in the exchanges history but as Matua Del said it was there best 77.  I took one billet, his name was Toby. On the first day we went for a swim in a natural hot pool that was heated geothermaly and the sand was super hot and so relaxing after that we headed to my mates place. At Finn's(my mates) we had a really nice dinner(his mum spent 3 years in cooking school)we had a BBQ with sausages and bread, real kiwi food, burgers with nice lamb patties, rissoles with herbs and my favorite chicken with a yummy marinade. The salads were soooooooooo good. For desert we had such a good pavlova. On Tuesday 3rd of September the sports began with an explosive start with B Ball, netball b team and girls soccer. The basket ball was a good game with Mokoia winning 68-26. Netball B team gave Mokoia a 2-0 lead on the cup winning 28-12. Girl soccer was an interesting game and it was sounding to good to be true Mokoia wining 1-0. As the day moved on Mokoia kept the steady flow of wins coming in with Netball yr 8 wining 39-8, Yr 7 A netball wining 28-5, boys soccer(which my billet played keeper) Mokoia won 2-1 and then there was rugby. We got smashed by Devon they won 68-23. In the end we won the exchange and we all had awesome fun and so did our billets over all it was a great 2 days.
